Visitors enjoyed the Roselle tea and the many informative handouts, seeds, and giveaways

What a day it was. The VegHeadz garden was one of the many stops on the popular Annual Farm Tour sponsored by Millstone Plantation. We had so many interested visitors with lots of questions. Apalachicola Beekeepers Association was on hand to talk about bees and sell honey. We gave away our new North Florida Vegetable Gardening Guide, as well as lots of cuttings and turmeric, Roselle, sweet potatoes, and seeds, seeds, seeds. Visitors enjoyed Peggy’s Roselle Tea, picked peppers, and loofah, and enjoyed the fruits of the garden. It was a good day and well worth all the work by many faithful VegHeadz as we recovered and reclained the garden after a year’s absence during the pandemic. Fall vegetables are planted and we’ll still be working in the garden each Wednesday morning. Come join us. And see our Facebook Page for more photos.

Sweet potatoes were fun to dig. Buried treasure in the garden. |
We gave away a lot of Loofah gourds. Guess we won’t have to duck now when we walk through the arbor.
