Larry Lesko was a valuable and beloved member of our VegHeadz gardening team. He was there at the beginning when we started developing the garden and he continued to join us when he could throughout his prolonged but losing fight with Leukemia. This week, thanks to fellow gardener Carole Hayes, we honored him by planting a native Redbud tree in our forest garden along with a commemorative plaque. Joining us were his wife Teri Cleeland and her sister. Larry’s last gift to the garden was some of his ashes placed below the tree roots to nourish its growth. God speed Larry.
