Beautyberry Jelly

We don’t grow American Beautyberry in our edible forest garden at the Leon County UF/IFAS Extension office, but maybe we should   They’re not only beautiful with their bright purple berries showing off at this time of year, but they’re a good source of food for birds and other wildlife including humans   A lovely jelly can be made from the berries as well as from unlikely candidates such as Pindo palm dates, elderberries, Roselle and other assorted wild fruit.   Follow the links below for more information, including a recipe for beautyberry jelly
