It’s Been a Good Year for Growing Vegetables

From our Garden Coordinator, Carole Hayes—Surprise, it didn't rain Wednesday morning! We harvested at least 60 pounds of produce; tomatoes, eggplant, cukes, okra, corn, beans, fennel, peppers. I needed a cart when I went to the Kearney Center because hauling veggies required 3 trips or three people! Thanks, awesome
VegHeadz!!

Mike and Peggy have a scheme to build a very interesting trellis in the Forest Garden to support chayote. Mark is getting support materials and Brittany donated windmill blades that will be incorporated in the design. So much creativity among the VegHeadz!! So good to see Mike back in the garden...

Please be thinking of what wisdom you can share to WOW your fellow gardeners next Wednesday. We can gather around the Sharing Table to share plants, seeds, produce, and ideas. All are welcome and all are very valuable!! Thanks to Cathy Alfano for the lovely edible ginger she brought yesterday.
