Garden Pest Identification
Now that you've planted most or all of your garden, it's time to monitor it for those annoying pests. We have added a link to help identify insects in your garden. See Insect ID Aid under Resources in the left sidebar. It's important to identify the bugs you see, because some are good bugs -- predators, pollinators, etc., and you certainly don't want to dispose of them. The ID site is from the Texas A&M Entomology Department and contains photos as well as detailed information for each insect. Also helpful is a chart from Native Nurseries which indicates what to do about the bad bugs you find enjoying your garden bounty.
