Tallahassee Food Network
There was a very interesting presentation yesterday at the Tallahassee Food Network (TFN). The Department of Anthropology at the University of Florida has done a survey about how people network in the local "food community" (those interested in producing and providing healthy food for all). We discussed how this relates to the mission of TFN to create robust community-based food systems that can combat issues relating to health, economics and the accessibility of food. The UF networking project is ongoing and it will be interesting to learn of future findings as the TFN group continues to define its role in the community and to implement its goals. If you are not a part of the Tallahassee Food Network, give it a try. For more information, click on the Tallassee Food Network link at the right of your screen.
