Grow Potatoes in Perlite

Thanks to Linda Nicholsen for calling our attention to an article from IFAS (Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences) at University of Florida on growing potatoes in perlite.    Apartment dwellers and those with very little growing space should love this.  A sunny corner of a deck (at least 6 hours, morning sun is best) could produce a crop of delicious new potatoes (or carrots, or lettuce).
