A Unique Community Garden

While visiting Bergamo, Italy, I found a unique community garden nestled between two legs of the switch-back road leading up to the Old Town section of the city.  In a spot more likely to grow weeds than vegetables, a well-ordered garden was a feast for the eyes.   The vegetables are grown with a different vegetable in each plot.   The gardeners grow the vegetables for their own use and to sell on Saturdays when they open the garden to the public.   Unfortunately, we were not there on a Saturday so we only got to enjoy viewing the garden from above as we descended.
