Just learned of a new non-toxic way to fight fire ants. We have several big hills in our garden. Just fill a bucket or tub about 1/2 full of water. Take a shovel and dig out the ant hill and dump it in the water. Add a little liquid soap, and wait for the ants to die. It may take a little while. When the ants are gone, put the soil back in the garden.
